Featured on Betalist! But what to expect?

We have been featured on Betalist earlier today after almost three months wait and have not really seen that much traffic from /?Ref = Betalist yet.

What are your experiences with Betalist, is it something that usually brings large amounts of traffic and users with it?

I didn't pay, got featured, had hundred of stars on my GitHub project. I didn't expect much, so I've got much more :)

I got featured as well (payed $200) for it. I didn't expect much - the main reason I did was, kind of, for SEO. I know Google crawls betalist, and it's a good investment in the long run. Other than that - traffic coming from there, very little.

But SEO helps when it's dofollow backlink. Does they give dofollow?

To tell you the truth, I have no idea. I do know that being listed in betalist will help you in the long run, when you will become better known.

My feature on beta list has led to 5 sales over the past 7 months. Worth doing, but definitely not a huge source of traffic.

Sure, if it can land some customers in the long run it's definitely worth a try.

We got almost no traffic when we listed, it was probably < 100. It really depends on your crowd. I think BetaList has the element of early adopters, but unless they're also specific to your niche (which in our case was travellers) then it won't lead to a lot.

There may have been other elements at play as well (page design, no beta available, etc).

Am sure others who were more closely aligned may have gotten more traffic / sign ups.

Really good point. There will surely be multiple factors for a successful BetaList campaign. Thanks for sharing your experience.
