Hello everyone
I just launched a UI/UX design pattern library. I hope that this will help designers getting an idea of best design practices, that are being used by top tech companies or/and when they are stuck solving a similar design problem.
However im still working on it and im looking for feedback to make it easier for anyone to access UI or UX inspiration. Thank you!
UX designer here, so I’m in your target market. A few initial thoughts from me:
Concept
I like the idea of pattern libraries, they certainly help speed up my research/design process. I’ve used, and paid for, pttrns in the past and regularly browse dribbble.
What stood out to me on your site was that your library includes insights, metrics and quantitive data. I want to know if the design pattern works or not, and why so this would be useful for me. It feels like this would help your product stand out from the competition and would certainly deliver more value.
It’d be great to know what that looks like though. Are they A/B test results? Or does it include outcomes from usability testing? Perhaps you could include an example? I also question how you would get that data from other websites.
Website
I think the site looks good. It’s clean, and easy to read and browse. I was disappointed to see that Google was the only option available for creating an account, however. Personally, I don’t use social sign ins, but would have happily added my email to a waiting list.
Hello
thank you for taking the time to help me out.
I'm glad that you brought up the idea of having additional insight on whether a pattern works or not. This is something that I have thought about as well, but you hit the nail on the head, "how would I get that data from other websites". This is something that I would need to explore as well scaling it down, lol as there are hundreds of companies analyzed that i would have to add in soon to the website 😊.
I'm very sorry for that, ill try to set that up so that visitors and you do have other options for signing up.
A thousand thanks, I appreciate you for doing this. I'll keep you in the loop for further development and progress!
Please do, I look forward to seeing how it progresses! 🙌
