Feedback: Does anybody care about spam and phishing attacks anymore?

I've got an idea on how to keep your personal email address private from the third party services you use to get rid of spam and prevent phishing attacks by preventing third-party services from selling, sharing or losing your personal email address (ala data breaches like FB just had). Would anybody care about something like this or has everybody just learned to live with a spam filled email box and to be wary of weird incoming emails?
