Hey hackers!
My team from Milan ( yes, just in the middle of the covid-19 outbreak in Italy ) just released our headless cms ContentChef:
https://www.contentchef.io
I know it seems strange to release something in the middle of a storm like that, but we want to show a sign that we're trying hard to go on, and it's something to celebrate for our small team!
So...
Hey Davide,
First of all congrats on the launch! Great that you've pushed through despite the state the world and Italy in particular is in.
I don't have too much insight into how you get exposure to FE communities. However, one advice could be to find and join a bunch of Slack FE communities, and write the founder to hear if/how you can present your product to the community (and maybe throw in a free trial or discount of sorts). Found this overview which might be helpful: https://www.slackchannels.com/front-end-developers-slack-group/
Regarding how the site looks, I must say that I'm a bit tired of seeing the same illustrations from Undraw used by almost everyone :D It feels stale and somewhat impersonal. Many people sell collections of illustrations that are really cool and could help bring some more life and personality to your site without breaking your bank. Have a look here: https://craftwork.design/
Hope this helps. Good luck!
Thanks for the feedback!
You may want to test https://ghtorrent.org/ to reach devs on github
Find some FrontEnd dev newsletters, see who and what they write about, then hang out with who they are talking about.
Thanks! I'll try to sort them out.
I'd try to make tutorials for specific static site builders, or frontend frameworks like vue, and publish them in the communities of those frameworks
Thanks! We are for sure building sdks and quickstart projects!
Have you spoken with anybody from Contentful?
No, I don't know anyone from Contentful
