Feedback for a site that helps you learn how to prevent climate change

Hi guys, I've been working on a site named ClimateChoice that makes it easier for people to learn what they can do today to help with climate breakdown.
It's a non-profit project created with others from the Impact Makers (https://techimpactmakers.com) community who also care about this issue.

Nicely designed site, and props for trying to make a difference. However, to be completely honest, after browsing through the site, I didn't feel more compelled to change my habits. I suspect the problem is a lot deeper than a simple lack of guidance/information. Still, it's a good start.
Thanks for your honesty. It's definitely hard to get people to feel compelled to take action. We're discussing other ideas for projects that could help beyond simply education. I'll be improving ClimateChoice with anything I learn over time. Thanks again!

Oh, one thing! The links that goes outside of your website, I would make them target="_blank", because I was surprised to see I left your site.
This may be a personal preference thing but I've never liked it when links open a new tab for you without you having a choice. Maybe it's just me though...
I can understand that. In that case, a indicator telling that the link will open in an external website might be interesting. Something like https://www.iconfinder.com/icons/3209429/external_open_out_outside_send_icon

I was looking for the headline to immediately describe the value proposition (e.g. Reduce carbon footprint by....)
On other websites, if the headline doesn’t catch my attention, I wouldn’t scroll down further.
Hey, thanks for the feedback! Yeah I agree, I'm trying to balance between grabbing the attention of those who may visit the site and not know the extent of the problem, and those coming to learn what to do next. I'll have a think about how to get the value prop more obvious.
