Hey everybody,
I made this landing page for my app: https://noteplan.co and are updating it every 1-2 months, if something changes in the app or I have some ideas what I could include.
What do you think? Are there too many links in the top menu? Should show only one CTA (I have "Buy Now" and "Download Free Trial"). Are there too many screenshots, too little? Are there any sections I should remove completely?
Thanks!
Overall is pretty good, but some of the icons are huge (MacBook, Social icons) and some sections are too small (Quotes at the beginning). Try to be more consistent with sizes.
For me, the site is too long, maybe there are sections you can through away.
And why the "Buy on Mac" button is gray, isn't that CTA? I'd say Free trial should be gray.
Maybe two nav panels are confusing at the top, can you maybe create a different way to change versions.
Thanks for your feedback!
The process is usually that you download the trial first and then purchase. So I thought if this is the "normal process", I should emphasize the trial and not the purchase. What do you think? Other apps like Omnifocus don't even have the buy button there (only in the nav bar).
Other points are noted.
Good question. I'd say if you have two option you should emphasize the selling one :)
But I'm not an expert. If depends on the flow, if most of the people gonna buy a product after a trial then you're right.
Ok, Im not sure myself, but maybe I should just try it.
There is a lot of wasted space, especially in the header. Even on my large monitor, the image of the product is not visible (but huge amounts of space around the buttons).
Product looks great btw :-)
You think it's too much space? I read you should give elements "breathing room", then things look better and not so cluttered. Thoughts on this? Or do you have an example landing page where you like the spacing?
I want to see your product when I first visit your page, not empty space. This copy seems misplaced too:
14 Days Free Trial
NotePlan is available for Mac, iPhone and iPad (sold separately)
Also available on the Mac App Store
It's taking up space in the header. Your product shot looks amazing and this should really be up at the top of the page front and center. I have to scroll down to see it
Good point! I just re-arranged a few things, like pushing the buttons below the hero image. How is that? -> https://noteplan.co
Overall thoughts is it looks awesome. It's exactly what I want to see when looking at a new app.
Some quick feedback:
Thanks a lot for the feedback!
The newsletter buttons appears when you type in the email address and hit the checkmark. But I think I can remove this checkmark, not sure. But as you say it, it might be confusing.
Good points!
No worries, good luck!
