Hi Indie Hackers...
I have been developing Cybbr (cybbr.com) for a few years, which allows users to make data stored on their own computers available for direct and secure access via the Web, without any storage in the Cloud. With this it is possible to access and share any type of file, such as: texts, photos, audios and videos, etc.
I would like support from the Indie Hackers community so that if possible they could collaborate with comments, feedback and any other ideas, criticisms and suggestions for improvement.
First I had a Landing Page where I got some emails from people interested in the system before I finalized the MVP. I recently finished the Public Beta and, as I have a more technical background as a programmer, I'm having trouble getting early users to test the system and get feedback on it (I believe these are general problems for developers with no knowledge of Business). Even though the site is completely free to use and currently has no traffic limit during the Beta, I had few signups from the initial mailing list and the outreach efforts I made on Twitter, ProductHunt, HackerNews and Reddit.
I found the information on the site to be difficult to understand and so I improved the content of the site (like adding the 3 quick steps to using the system on the homepage and more questions and answers in the FAQ) to see if I get any improvement.
As I said, having a more technical background, I also have difficulty at a business level to know the target audience of the website and its market niche, because from my understanding it is a neutral platform that allows its use by the most diverse types of audiences - as well as many other Internet sites such as social media (Twitter, Facebook), videos (Youtube), audios (Spotify), etc. I also think the system could be used for both home and business audiences. In this case, could someone help me to know how I can discover my target audience and position myself so that I can later market the system?
Thank you very much.
