Feedback for upcoming group/course management app

Hi everyone

I am scratching my own itch and did build software to ease my work as a local kids sports club administrator/coach. I just wanted simple events list where everyone can tell if they are coming or not. There are (at least here in Finland) some solutions for that, but they are badly designed and full of advertises.

After a good experiences I decided to see if there could be a small side business here (I work as web developer by day) and started to think what people could find valuable. My target group are small clubs, running clubs, yoga instructors, diet groups etc. Basically everyone who maintain different kind of groups and courses and want to have everything in one place. Current trend seems to be some kind of mixture of own website, email and Facebook groups.

Let me know what you think about the very rough marketing page I set up: does it give somehow clear picture of what it does? Could you think any groups that you are part that could get some value out of this kind of solution?

Here is the link: https://mukana.app

Landing page is build using carrd.co (pretty much one of the default templates at the moment) and application is build using Laravel + Vue (using InertiaJS).

Hi! Worked in Finand for some time) Great country! My short feedback: wording is really hard to read, for example, "Upload and securely share course materials for your members. If there is pdf-files or other documents you want to give access to your members, Mukana makes it easy"

You can shorten this: Collect and share your course materials quickly and easily with your members! (maybe could be done better - I am also non -native)

Maybe you dont neee to say "securely" as it is expected by default)

By the way, I like the way you define your target audience, it is a lot of them in facebook groups and instagram - so at least you know where they are already )

Thanks for the feedback! Yes, Finland is great country, although I miss the actual real winters we used to have. No it seems to be only wet and dark.

I did revisit wording and tried to streamline the texts. Will definitely use a native speaker before marketing.

What you think about the name Mukana? It is a Finnish word meaning almost same as "along" or "you are in". Is it clumsy word for English speakers or is it easy to spell?

The font-weight for "Create Events" through to "Share Materials" is too light, especially because there isn't a strong contrast between the text colour and the background colour. I'm finding it difficult to read the text. A font-weight of 400 makes it readable for me.

The English is a bit off in the "About Us" section. It could be changed to:

"Mukana is built by Antero, who runs a local table tennis club for kids. Managing all the events, messaging and payments was time consuming and almost killed all the fun from running the club. It seemed that even with all the online tools, there were none that were really focused on solving issues that small clubs and single instructors were facing.
We are currently beta testing the application with a small amount of people. We are launching to the public in 2020."

    Good luck @antero :)

Hi Jarrad! Huge thanks for your feedback. I adjusted font weights and texts. As you know I am not a native English speaker, but will definitely use help with final exam text before starting marketing.

Thanks for the feedback. I definitely agree with that. Application is not ready for publish yet, but I will plan to have good screenshots and maybe screencast to show the application.

I need to create all the translations though. Original app was in Finnish only, so need to progress with that before taking screenshots.

Do a quick inspect element and change the words to english :)

I actually have multilang support in place, so it won't take that long. Just easier/faster for me to develop by using single language.
