I built a SaaS with a friend called Leapfrog Leads...
Leapfrog Leads sends email notifications to Upwork freelancers of new jobs that they're interested in.

Currently at +-$500 MRR.
But greatly struggling to find our audience / fit with users we don't have a previous relationship with.
So my co-founder is an Upwork coach, he helps people get started on the platform, learn to position themselves etc, and they're majority of our users at the moment.
But that's obviously not going to scale.
I've been trying a semi organic approach on LinkedIn.
Posting a bit of value content, gets decent eyeballs compared to our number of connections.
Connecting with people who indicated themselves as Upwork freelancers.
And then also reaching out in the DM's, build a relationship, learn their situation, learn about their Upwork freelancing goals, etc.
But hasn't brought any success yet.
Was hoping to get some objective feedback? 🙌
I know it's broad, but maybe there's something jumping out to the community on the landing page, or maybe you've been through something like it before.
I'd think about targeting a subcategory of freelancers on Upwork rather than all freelancers, then targeting forums, answering questions on winning work, creating content on winning work, for that subcategory.
If for example you focus on creating guides and offering support to Graphic designers, you'll be able to produce much better content than if creating broad 'winning work content' for any freelancer. It'd also mean you can produce much more powerful copy on the landing page and social proof as it'd all focus on that one subcategory.
I'd pick the subcategory based on who values leads the most (i.e. a group that is big enough to sustain your business, and for whom it's hard to get leads). You could then start speaking with that group, interviewing them, find out what's hard about getting great leads, then feed all of that into the product, the copy, the content, and the advice you give to get noticed in that community.
You can always grow out from that base when you're ready to other subcategories when you get some momentum.
Appreciate the input.
Totally see what you're saying.
Even just thinking how much more, "Win more web design projects as an Upwork web design freelancer" would likely resonate specifically.
They go, "Oh, that's exactly me".
I initially thought Upwork freelancers would be specific enough but now that you laid it out, I could go more specific.
