Feedback: Landing page review

https://www.abyssale.com

Hello everyone! We are currently planning to adjust the content on our landing page. Right now we feel that the current value proposition and explanation of what we are building is not clear enough... Being focused on your own product can make you miss the bigger picture and having an external view is always beneficial.

We would be grateful if some of you took the time to look at our current LP and share in the comment what you understood about our product!

Our LP: https://www.abyssale.com

Ps: If you need some feedback on your own LP, feel free to post it in the comments I would gladly take a look and give some design advice.

    • I would get rid of all the blog stuff. The landing page is meant to lead to conversions, not drive traffic away from it.
    • Change navbar CTA to "Start Now" or something similar
    • Your goal should be to get early access users, so aim for that

      Thanks !

      • Definitively agree, we added this to fill out our landing page > it will be removed for the next iteration
      • "Start now"? We send a private invitation, so you can't really try the alpha right away, i don't want to be deceiving, what is your take on this @volkandkaya ?

For #2 you're right, I didnt see it was invite only.

Without looking at other responses: your product allows you to create banner ads by just providing assets, colors and text. The design looks so clean! Seriously I love it!

To be fair, I missed both of the cta's the first time I looked at the page. I quickly skimmed over the top one because I didn't know anything about the product and I wanted to know more. I think it's a good location for a cta though. People who go to the site with the goal to sign up won't experience any friction.

However, I missed the second cta because it was buried below your blog section and I assumed that was kinda the end of your lp. It might be better to leave the blog section out of the lp (but keep urls in the footer & nav because blogs are great for SEO). Or if the blog is really important to you, try to find a way to add another cta before moving on to your blogposts.

Thanks for your feedback, you are right the CTA situation could be handled better!

Will try to adjust the navigation by adding sticky navigation with a clear CTA in it

Design is good, but landing pages with forms that are "above the fold" convert better.

I have heard that they don't, do you have any data for that :)

I would have thought they did as well.

I run a landing page newsletter and would love to share that either way.

So my company looked at a chain of home window stores we have as clients and the scroll depth average. We found that most users didn't scroll past the fold if it wasn't engaging enough, so we found a lift in conversion rates just by moving the scheduling form up into the hero/header area. I don't have any hard data to share unfortunately.

In our case, we are running Hotjar to track user behavior and have a 80% view rate till the bottom of the LP

Nice, will have to go hunt for some data :)

Thanks, the issue with our current design is to place this form above the fold. but I will definitively not make the same error twice!

Thanks for your feedback! We decided to add this banner for the launch, this looked like a good idea at that time, I will give it a second thought on our next iteration
