I launched my YouTube channel last week called Make Something which encourages people to make things without code:

This is my first YouTube content, actually my first video content. I don't have any fancy equipment just recording with my computer for now. Any feedback to grow your audience or people starting out?
Lots to learn, it's been slow but fun so far.
Thank you in advance.
Subscribed ☺️ Good start, one suggestion make your videos shorter, byte sized, more catchy. You can read up on youtube seo algorithms so that youtube picks your content easily. Best of luck !
Thank you! What a good idea, coming up :)
Short videos are good and all but it's better to make longer YouTube videos for the algorithm and front-load the best part of the video to keep people watching longer. Then YouTube will share your video more.
Are you in Product Management? Shorter videos would be nice but from what I briefly saw the content looks pretty good!
@yasu yes I am! Going to try shorter videos next time.
First clear your mind, how you want to grow it, organic or paid?
I have some suggestions for you.
Lastly, I am curating a newsletter from Indiehackers.com with a dedicated section for YouTubers. You can signup for it at indieletters.com
Great start ! I like the content, you seem relaxed and confident too.
I would suggest filming with a higher quality camera though. No need for fancy cameras, just a bit more image quality. Maybe your phone camera would do. Also the positioning of the camera makes a difference, try positioning it a bit higher.
Best of luck!
Oh good idea @Psycholisk! I didn't want ot invest in fancy stuff from the beginning but can definitely try with my phone camera for some upcoming ones.
I'm the same way @romymisra, I am holding back from spending much money on the youtube gear (cameras, lights, microphones, etc) until I can justify it with my channel taking off. Until then, I think my content has been pretty good with just the camera. I think you're content quality is great
I really like it! Feels relaxed and a bit quirky in a good way :)
Thank you so much @Emelie!
