Feedback needed on guitarist pedalboard analysis app
Hi there! My name is Shay.
I decided to work on my first app, where guitarists can upload a photo of their pedalboard (the place where effect pedals are placed - this is what it looks like: https://goo.gl/Vtkrfm). After uploading the photo I will provide them with insights, powered from data of other guitarists' pedalboards. The business model is around affiliate suggestions of pedals from Amazon (pedals go on average from $100 to $400).
What do you think of the idea?

Why would I use it as an uploader? Or as a viewer? That is not super clear to me. I get that as a viewer I can look at other peoples pedals, but thats probably not enough value for me to go and buy anything. Maybe if you add some way of listening to what that pedal does it could trigger me to do something. Maybe automatically link to youtube videos for the pedals? Also, might be a bit too early to think business models, seeing that the value proposition is not proven
Thanks. As an uploader, you will gain access to personalized insights according to what pedals you currently have - for example, seeing what other people are buying along with your pedals. Yeah, it should be accompanied by some way of listening to these recommended pedals.
