Feedback on an interview question hiring tool

The company where I work my day job (Seeq) is starting a new round of hiring, and I see some problems. The problems I'm thinking of are problems I've seen at every company I've worked at:

  • During the interview process each candidate will be asked different questions by different interviewers, making it difficult to compare candidates.
  • As a candidate going through the interview process, you're very likely to answer the same question twice, which is annoying and makes the hiring team look sloppy.

I have an idea for a product to help solve these problems.

The MVP would be an interview question database.

  • Questions are organized under several Categories
  • New questions can be added by members of the hiring team.
  • Questions can be rated to surface the good ones and bury the bad ones.
  • A list of highly rated Questions from selected Categories can be generated for an Interview.

After the MVP, I would add some features to track candidates' responses and notes.

What do you indie hackers think? Would this be a useful tool? Would companies pay for something like this?
