I recently wanted to get better at video games, and yes.. you could watch videos, and play more and more.. but I didn't get better at the gym until I got a trainer for a little while. And I didn't get better at coding until I studied with more exp. developers one on one.
I think we are entering the golden age of E-Sports. Lots of tools. Streamers. Tournaments. No Training other than trial and error
What if there were a platform where you can get one on one coaching. I have used Fiverr to find people, but that can be hit or miss.
It would be amazing to build a site ( which tbh wouldn't be that complicated ) that connects verified e-sports players/coaches with less experienced people that want to up their skills.
There are many other things that could go into this business as well.
Id like to hear what you guys think ( and if anyone would like to brainstorm, or join me )
Have seen a couple of these for DOTA, and it feels like a compelling business. Think the hard part is really a) differentiating your product and b) getting a good starting niche.
Would pick a game that's on the up and up right now and try to grow with the curve if it's available. Especially something where the ground feels a bit softer and there isn't an insane amt of pros or stratified hierarchies.
Been out of gaming for too long (except for WZ) to have a good bead on what that actually is though XD
Except for TI?
I mean, you're watching TI, right??
cursed replies can cost ppl a day of work :P
That QCY game, though. :D

I've enjoyed using Metafy. Would be interesting to see what other route you would take to compete with them.
I think you should tell me about a great find that will help you earn a lot of money. I will recommend you a good website https://takebet.com.gh/betting-tips/basketball/nba where you can bet on sports and earn a lot of money. I recommend you to try it, I wish you good luck!!!
Your idea has potential. During the lockdown, I started playing an online multiplayer games and wanted to improve my gameplay. I subscribed to this one. It really helped me improved my gameplay.

Also, there is one more service out there.

I think there is a really good market for e-sport guides and coaching and it only going to grow in the future.
Don't build a marketplace platform unless you have a HUGE marketing budget. The technical part is easy. But how will you get coaches to join the platform without any players on it (and the other way round).
Interesting idea! A slight variation of this that I'm curious about is gaming tutorials? So like lynda.com or udemy but for games? The end product of course being courses you sell on the platform and take a commission.
I recall seeing an influencer marketing push a few years ago for gamersensei.
Im wondering if the recent twitch leak can tell you something about pros/people who would qualify to be coaches and how much they make or would want to charge.
On the Indie Hackers Podcast #201, Ben Orenstein of Tuple talks about hiring a gaming coach. So it’s definitely a real business. You could ask him here or on Twitter for feedback on the platform idea and for how he hired his coach. @r00k
