So I'm currently playing around with a new idea.
It takes inspiration from the privacy focus and "screener" from Hey but you don't have to switch emails to use it.
That was my biggest barrier - the mental cost of switching emails is really high and who really has that kind of time.
Hiya puts up a "firewall" between your personal email and the world. Emails come inbound into your Hiya address and based on the rules you set we'll auto-forward them back to your personal email. Kinda like a reverse proxy for emails. So you'll never "login" to your Hiya address, you get to stay in your inbox.
Check out the site here: https://hiya.ninja/ let me know what you think?
I love the idea. But switching ( or using a new ) email address is a big barrier I think. I always wondered if a service like this can't be some sort of chrome extension. That you can install on your current email platform to filter your emails.
