Hi Indie Hackers,
I'm working on a product called Textalytics. I've got a landing page ready and would love some early feedback on the idea, page, branding, pitch, etc.
Here's the link: https://textalytics.io
Please take a look and let me know.
Thanks!
landing page looks good!
thank you!
Pretty cool, Jack. I like the new landing page and overall I think the concept makes sense.
So the service automatically parses tweets that contain my handle, customer requests that come in through Drift, etc and then does sentiment analysis on the input, is that correct? If that's right, that's a super useful tool.
In fact it's such a good process you might benefit from being super explicit about it on the home page, like:
1 - You connect your account(s)
2 - We listen for comments from your users
3 - etc etc...
It looks like the key value prop right now is that you aggregate the data into a digestible format. Definitely a nice feature. It might be even better if you notified me when negative stuff came up so I could deal with it though. If someone's mad I want to know so I can solve their problem.
The analytics piece is cool too from a trend perspective to track any macro level changes, so definitely include it, but a more acute issue is turning an angry customer into a satisfied one. You have the hard part done (identifying the angry people), so maybe you can sell the idea of satisfying angry customers by making the right people aware that there's a problem.
Thank you for the feedback!
You are correct. Textalytics analyzes messages as input in order to measure customer satisfaction and show trends.
I like your idea of explicitly stating how simple it is to use. Definitely a value add for user.
Alerting is the next feature that I want to focus on. It would especially be useful when there is an increased amount of negative messages coming through different platforms like twitter, drift, zendesk, etc.
Question, does the customer satisfaction messaging make sense?
The messaging makes sense and I think its a relevant data point. Social media is definitely part of the satisfaction formula.
Hi Jack,
Congratulations on shipping!
I tried using the app here is the feedback on few things
It would be easier if I could authorize using twitter directly (instead of first signing up and then authorizing twitter)
Since it takes some time to process tweets, would be better to show sample data on the dashboard
The "Login with email" option took me to a page which asked for authorization using Gmail.
Thank you for the feedback!
Hey Jack, great job on getting this out there!
Here are some thoughts:
I might move the info on what sources you're pulling from higher up. I didn't fully understand how the product worked until I got to the section that says "Analyze feedback from different sources in one place". Then I got that it's connect these channels and you'll go from there. Might be helpful to have something up top that takes up lest source and says: "Measure Customer Satisfaction Across All Your Channels / Tools / Conversations (whatever word is best)", and then small icons of Drift, Twitter, Zendesk
From a design side, with the different sources you've included, e.g. Twitter, Drift, etc. - it might be interesting to visually show a Tweet and what content is being extracted from it, or how it's being analyzed. This might be a good visual device to help people understand how the product works.
The other higher level question I'd have is do word frequencies provide sufficient context for where the problems are? Have you seen this to work in practice? Classifying messages into positive/negative and showing the trends over time seems like a good general approach. Anything else you think corresponds to satisfaction on these channels?
Side question:
What's the stack you've used to build out Textalytics?
