He y Indie Hackers,
I'd like the feedback from community on my landing page
https://downloadnests.com/
Is understanding of the value proposition clear?
Does it look professional?
To whom should I target?
Any other feedback?
Please provide your valuable feedback for improving the landing page
Thanks!
Hey Jagtar! The other commenter nailed the core issue - "content creators" is too broad. But let me give you something more actionable:
Pick ONE creator type and rewrite the entire hero section for them. Example: "Sell your digital downloads without the tech headache. Built for course creators who just want to hit publish."
Your landing page needs to answer three questions in the first 5 seconds: What is this? Who is it for? Why should I care? If a visitor can't answer all three without scrolling, you're losing them.
"Does it look professional?" - Professional is table stakes. What you need is SPECIFIC. Show a real use case, a real creator type, a real workflow. Generic = forgettable.
The name "DownloadNests" doesn't immediately communicate value. That's fine (Dropbox didn't either), but it means your headline has to work twice as hard.
Pick your niche, rewrite the hero, and you'll see a completely different response. Would be happy to do a deeper teardown if you're still iterating on this!
One thing people miss in pages targeting “content creators” is that the term is so broad it could mean anything from a YouTuber to a course instructor. Your questions about whether the value proposition is clear and who your target should be hint that the landing page currently speaks to everyone and no one. This usually happens when we describe features (download management, campaign tools) without anchoring them to a specific pain; visitors can’t immediately tell if it solves their problem. Narrowing down the persona—like digital course sellers who need to deliver protected files—and structuring the copy and examples around their workflow will make the page more compelling.
