Feedback on MVP

Hi All, recently built a product that helps users create mailing lists based on search queries.

Was wondering if some of you could check it out and give some insights as to whether this would be something beneficial/helpful for potential users.

Landing Page: https://quicklist.me

It is not clear what group of users are you targeting for this product.

This essentially creates a list of companies generic addresses and e-mails being sent to such addresses are usually not very effective.

However, if you were able to find me people working in content marketing at big companies with over 10,000 employees - that would be helpful for Sales. However, there are multiple companies who are trying to provide results for such queries.

      Hi, thanks for the feedback.

In terms of users I'm targeting, it is B2B companies that use email marketing to reach out to potential clients.

I specifically built it in a way for it to generate company generic emails as I thought that would be more beneficial however I can see why it would be ineffective. I can however make it so it finds emails of employees etc.

Would you be able to share some companies you know that are doing the same?(finding emails of people based on search queries) I know there are companies that find emails based on domain names, but the point of my product is that you don't have to know the domains/company names.

      Thanks again,
      Moiz

@Moiz_00 - I have not needed to actually be a customer of such a product so I don't really know all the challenges. It is that I ignore all the sales pitches coming to me generic e-mail addresses :-)

One company that I was thinking of was Zoominfo. You likely have some strengths. I think this is a big space and there are multiple opportunities.

Makes sense, thanks for the info I'll work on differentiating my self and improving the product. Any tips on reaching out to users?

          1. 1

Best way to reach out to users is to focus on getting the first 10 from your network. Once you get there, try to find common patterns in their pain points, what they read, etc to get to the next 100. After that, I think you should look at marketing approaches, etc.

So its a tool for finding addresses to cold email?

How does it work? Do you scrap sites that appear in web search results? Linkedin? Facebook? Business directories? I think its worth being more open about your sources so that users can better understand the usecase. Like, if I type "novelty mug" will i get potential customers for my novelty mug, or emails for competitors also selling mugs?

As an aside regards your landing page, im not crazy about your tagline. "little to no time" is kind of flat, and a bit of a mouthful. "Find targeted emails in no time!", i dunno.

      Hey thanks for the question.

First off I definitely agree with you, I will look to improve the tagline as well as other wording on the landing page.

Second, regarding how it works, we scrape web search results and find emails based on those web pages. For example if you search novelty mug, you will find emails of stuff like novelty mug shops/communities etc

Hope that answers your question, let me know if you have anything else. Thanks

Cool, yeah i figured it would be something like that. I wonder if you could include other sources as well, if you could figure out how to rank them.

Hey there, it's a slick and clean design with an elegant logo, so it's visually nice.
The thing is that as a potential customer, I would expect the email addresses of the main decision makers.
People may also tell you that LinkedIn could be a preferred tool as it has the appropriate contact details to the exact targeted customers/key stakeholders they are trying to reach.

Great idea. @Moiz_00 I would like to give a try, but I need to know how you handle privacy.

Email marketing is very sensitive, and it's easy to jump into a loophole. Make sure you have got a good study around email credential, GDPR and relevant.

Would be nice if you can include testimonials from early or beta user. Do not forget to include contact information about your company, privacy and terms. All the best!

@Moiz_00 - when are you planning to launch?

        1. 1

          Tomorrow, January 16th

The idea is pretty good, it could be quite helpful. My only concern is related to privacy and to where-the-hell-did-you-get-my-email-from issues. I guess you're probably scraping some public API or have some crawler in place? You'll want to investigate the legallity of that before you start charging customers.

Landing page looks good, I'd add the demo video somwhere and fill up the website footer with some info too.

      Hi,

I agree with you, I'll definitely look into that and make it known to customers.
