I'd love to know your thoughts and feedback on my app (and maybe also the website, though I know it sucks).
- What works, what doesn't?
- Are you tempted to download it or at least test in the browser?
- Or if not, why so?
- What would need to change so that you would consider trying it out?
- Also feedback on the UI and features would be very welcome!
These are my gut reactions + initial thoughts -->
I was a bit confused by your value proposition --> Free todo list and time tracker is concise but also pretty generic so at first I thought I was looking at a simple checklist app for groceries or something. I think it would be better to say "Free todo list and time tracker for developers" since that's (I think) really what's setting you apart from other free todo lists.
Just in general I think your positioning could be a bit stronger. What makes you different?... For example your competitor todoist says "Manage all your tasks in the easiest way possible." 'Easiest way possible' is obviously desirable and I'd probably download theirs instead of yours since you haven't yet really pointed out a reason why you're unique and special.
Regarding the current copy 'planning tasks' and 'tracking time' are sort of assumed functionality. It's good that you have that stuff but emphasizing it is a little like emphasizing the fact that a car has a steering wheel... of course it does. If you rework your positioning it'll be a bit easier to figure out what needs to be emphasized.
Regarding the design... I think you could increase the sizes of the fonts on the value proposition and make the call to action buttons more prominent and obvious.

Did you also have the chance to look at the app itself?
:) - Truthfully I didn't because I don't need a todo list app right now.
Do you have a sense of where your early adopters are (people who are trying to keep track of todos + need your app right now)?
Hehe. I understand. No, I honestly don't have a clue. There about 1k active users, but as I am not collecting any metrics, I almost know nothing about them. It's hard to reach out, when you promised to do no bullshit :)
Hey there, I checked out your app and liked it. Especially PWA support! Very great. There are two things now I would really take into consideration.
I was impressed by the amount of features you offer, github hooks, jira, and so on. I like the time tracking functionality. I would now really investigate in which direction to go. Get a few people who like your app and then measure/investigate which features they use and which they dont. According to this result I would adapt your app and start developing it into the "right" direction.
Your app UI, colors, layout should look better. I would really improve on the visual experience. The colors and menus could fit better, the worklog looks a bit messy and maybe a nice picture somewhere would help. Dont underestimate the impact of a nice UI. I noticed that you work with Angular, we e.g. use this https://clarity.design/

Thank you very much! You're right. There is a little bit of feature creep going on there. And a little cleaning up, would be a good idea. It's hard to get metrics though, as I am not collecting any kind of data.
Also the design really needs some work. Would be great to have a professional designer have a look at it. Maybe I can make myself a Christmas present and hire one :)
The screenshot images are a little too much. I had a hard time figuring out what was being displayed. It would be a lot easier if you put text on the images to show what each feature was about.

How do I know that you didn't put something malicious in the .deb package?
You never can know these things for sure. But if you mistrust me, you can compile the app yourself from the source code. It's all open source after all. You can find instructions to get the app running on the readme of the github repository and then after getting the app running you can execute
npm run distto compile`.Good answer! Thanks!
