Feedback on my hardware product landing page

This is just an Adobe XD screenshot, website not built yet. I'm happy with this for now, may change a few more things, but looking for unbiased opinions (i.e. from not myself).

Q's:

Are features and benefits of the product clear?
Does the photo stimulate, excite interest or curiosity? (if you're a hardware/audio recording/diy/maker type)
Call to action. Does it convey urgency and scarcity?
Any other opinions or first impressions?

Design is a bit off and a bit too generic. Other than that, looks solid.

Alright, I'll start:
- You should use a fixed with of 1200 or 1280px. Your top bar is wider than your content.
- The Preorder Button needs more vertical padding.
- The text under the Preorder Button should be smaller and with more line height (something between 1.5 and 1.7/1.8).
- Your text "This is a DIY ..." can be smaller in this case.
- The color of the "Features" text should be changed and try to move the text to the left. If you center it like you have right now, there should be some kind of effect or design element to complement the "Features" text in the middle.
- The border of the boxes in the Features section is too dark. Try to take the background color and change the saturation in HSB color picker. Maybe like increase it by 20 or 30.
- Some of your icons inside the boxes still have a slight grey background.
- Same points for Easy to build section.
- I would choose a darker grey for the footer section.
- You should also try to find a better font combination. Or you stick with the default font stack if you choose. What font do you use atm? Roboto or Open Sans or Lato are most of the time a good choice.

  Yes, very aware that some icons have grey background. I just screen captured these from fontawesome site, for a rough XD draft of how my page could look. Text spacing/padding/margins not consistent, etc.
  
  Once I convert this design to real HTML/CSS with ids and classes, those things should fix themselves and become consistent.

My 2 cents: Maybe make a logo with https://brandmark.io/ or https://logomaster.ai/app/proposals to use in the top left of the navbar. I'd also remove the model number from the navbar.

Change the fonts a bit, nothing too different but make a few tests with google fonts. Also, centering on a few elements is off... is this responsive?

Some icons have background, others don't.. I'd just use material icons or fontawesome.

Maybe add a section with a brief explanation of what the product is, what it does, before the features.

Other than that you have well defined sections which is positive, the picture is nice, as is it's already passable for a hardware startup, so good job.

  These are fontawesome--- screen capture :) I just needed a quick what could this page look like, playing with layout and ideas. Don't need it pixel-perfect. -- I'm thinking MVP in layout ideas.

  Great suggestion.My target customers usually already know what these are. But a little marketing hype wouldn't hurt.

Your target market is a little different, so use what you can.

Photo is very nice.

Quick tips:
- Change right navbar to "Pre-Order now"
- You can add a bar at the top that talks about the special pre-order price
- I would remove all the text in the header section and add that to an FAQ at the bottom.
- Have a pricing section and show the discount, maybe add more discounts for bulk buy?
- Do you have testimonials from previous customers?

  Yeah, when I started adding more text to the header, it became busy but I felt I need to put it out there. A new FAQ section below will be perfect place for these.

  Yes, I do have a shopping cart system for my other products that have quantity discounts. Right now, this is a new product launch and experimenting using a dedicated landing page on its own domain name.

  Yes, I have... but for other different products. This is a new product launch so no testimonials or sound clip examples for this yet. Maybe I can re-use the other testimonials, not to highlight this particular product, but the brand name's reputation.

in general, my feedback is too much text, not enough exciting pictures :). Also I'm not a huge fan of the picture itself, but I really may not be your target market so hard to say for certain.

Btw, I run a service where for $12 you can for opinions from 100 people and get their demographics back https://scoops.io/. Just thought it could potentially help you!

  I'm borderline on this picture too. But it's the one I have at the moment. May need to take more pictures at different angles/backgrounds.
  
  Re: scoops - The general public is not my audience here. Can I pick the type of customer that will give me their opinions using scoops? My market is that kind of person that's into audio recording, electronics DIY projects, possibly works in a commercial recording studio, or has his own home recording studio.

    We've got the ability to follow-up with any respondents after they answer, but in terms of up-front targeting we only have age/country/gender unfortunately at the moment.
    
    You can always ask a question first, and then based on how folks reply (e.g. "are you into audio recording?") follow-up with a cohort. Hope that helps! Best of luck!
