hi christian, seems like a very good area to put development effort. hope your getting lots of installs! here are my thoughts:
Hi Christian,
User Experience Designer & Webflow Developer here.
Here are my honest thoughts. Overall, the website doesn't really have a cohesive experience.
The website design aesthetics can be on par with most of the modern technology websites out there.
You are currently using 3 typefaces/fonts (Futura PT, Avenir and Playfair Display). I am not necessarily sure if the use of these fonts is appropriate. I can't really tell if these fonts are used with consistency in the sense that I immediately can tell what a certain header style (H1, H2) is. For example, there are times where you are using Playfair Display as a header (in the comparison chart Jira Out-of-the-box vs. Custom Charts for Jira plus blog posts) and also as a paragraph style elsewhere on the website.
The 'Contact Us' form at the bottom seems disconnected from the rest of the page design. Are you using the out-of-the-box 'Form' block from Wix?
Home Page --> I wasn't expecting to go to your LinkedIn profile when I clicked on your name. Ideally you would include a LinkedIn icon that is clickable and directs to your LinkedIn profile.
'Custom Charts' Page --> You can present the companies under 'Our Customers' in a better way. The logos are really close to each other and it is hard to scan them.
'Custom Charts' Page --> Under 'Features' the customer testimonials are presented before the block for features. Ideally the features are presented first and not testimonials.
There is little transition between different sections of a web page. Making the website more dynamic and interactive can help to improve the transition experience. Right now, it feels like scrolling down a Word document.
'External Share for Jira' Page ---> Not sure why the entire comparison chart is clickable. I would expect only 'Available on the Marketplace' button to be clickable. Ideally this button is located outside the chart.
'External Share for Jira' Page --> The transition into the Blog section feels abrupt. I wasn't expecting to see a section for Blog on this page.
'External Share for Jira' Page --> You can present the companies under 'Our Customers' in a better way. The logos are really close to each other and it is hard to scan them.
The iconography on the website is not consistent. For example, the heart icon in a single blog post with the icons in the comparison chart (Jira Out-of-the-box vs. Custom Charts for Jira)
The icons/visual assets on the 'Custom Charts' and 'External Share' are not consistent. I am not sure if they are using the same colour palette.
I am not necessarily sure what the purpose of this website is. Are you looking to get consultancy gigs or looking to get people to install your Jira plugins from the Marketplace?
When I hover upon a menu item in the nav bar there is no underline but the line is presented at the top. https://imgur.com/a/XqRuPG0 Personally I have never seen a navigation bar like this before.
The navigation dropdown (light navy blue) and the font colour combination can be improved. Right now, it is hard to read the dropdown options.
A better information architecture for the navigation bar can help. You can put 'Custom Charts', 'External Share' and 'Confluence Macros' under one category (Services, Products, Plugins etc.).
You can remove white space after sections https://imgur.com/a/z1nSfYD
Hovering upon the crown icon (Blog Post) brings up nothing https://imgur.com/a/aHhmTaq
Hope that helps.
Best,
Irem
