Feedback on our Landing Page and Products

Hey,

Greg, CEO and Founder of Cloudbuddies here.

Just wanted to get feedback from "external people" regarding our company website, products and services offering. We recently revamped the content and the design to put our products more on the front.

Do you get the company idea ?
Do you understand what problem we want to fix ?
Do you see how and which solutions we offer to get this challenge fixed ?
Do you understand the products and pricing model ?

The idea is to get as much feedback as possible to be sure the message on the website is clear and understandable. Critics, comments, bug reports are more than welcome.

https://cloudbuddies.io

Thanks

      Hi Nathan,

Wow impressive feedback, let us digest all this and do the modifications. You are right, this needs improvement, i like the idea of explaining who we are targeting as customers and explain how we can help them. Text I agree is too long, we will get it shorter. The call to actions are something we are not so familiar with, we are tech people, so we will need to find links and ideas for them. The current CTA are sending to Archie's page, that will be live soon (this is a temp page that is acting as a waiting list). Archie is the main tool that provides all the "premium" features. Agreed on the cloudstart premium price, 5000 is a lot, but the package is giving the clients a lot, it is the equivalent of having to pay for some cloud expertise and have consultant on site for weeks to design and start a cloud project (some clients are paying twice this price currently). We just propose a standardised version of this "cloud component" that fits all business size and can be delivered quasi-automatically to them in days compared to weeks. Once ordered we contact the client to explain them. Our targets should be aware fo that bu maybe we could make it more clear i agree. Archie offers a free trial for 7 days to let users test things out and then gets a 50/month membership to deploy additional premium resources.

I agree that this is complex, and not easy for us to explain, we know what the tool can help people to do, the challenge is to explain it correctly to our customers. As you said you are not my target, but your video showed us that we need to rewrite a lot to make it clear....thanks for this.

@cloudbuddies I'm glad you found it helpful. I'd be happy to help you more with ideas about how to strategize your launch funnel and what call to action is best for your product. If you'd like to take me up on that, you can select a time on my calendar: https://calendly.com/nathanarodgers/saas.

It feels like your a service company selling to CEO's/CTOs that don't understand tech.
The Archie thingy is barely understood from the main to be a product or an important subpage in the menu.
A lot of text, little focus, problem=the cloud, what about it? Don't understand it, cool, we'll setup a delopyment for you that's in the cloud. That's the message I got.

      Hi,

Thanks for the feedback, not sure I understood your answer correctly but let me explain what we are doing, this could also help other to get the idea.

We are a young, dynamic, creative and friendly multicultural team of Experts passionate about Cloud Computing. We want to effortlessly accelerate our Clients Cloud adoptions and let them regain the control.

We developed an innovative Cloud Deployment As A Service Platform, Archie, that delivers Cloud Landing Zones, Member Account Baselines, Cloud Resources and Application Stacks automatically and easily, reducing Cloud Journey time, efforts and budget to the bare minimum.

The challenge for businesses looking to use cloud computing for their IT infrastructure is that new cloud technologies are added frequently and they are complex, their only options are enhance the in-house skills (training and formations), search for the perfect candidates (a cloud architect that also do DevOps) or look for a highly priced outsourced cloud expertise (takes month and is really pricy). This is consuming time, budget and efforts. The other challenge is for cloud expert as they also have to learn and cope with those technologies.

We want to cut all this and Archie is the tool to fix this. It combines architecting and DevOps. Thanks to Archie our clients (business or cloud experts) can benefit templates that are ready to use and customisable to automatically deploy resources in the Cloud without the need of high cloud expertise ( no architecting and coding skills are needed) as everything is ready and included. They save time, efforts and money.

      Archie's features are:

      • CloudStart Premium

Cloud Landing Zone which is the required component to use if you plan to start using Cloud correctly.

      • CloudStart Lite

An account baseline that integrates networks, security and compliance rules

      • Smart resources

For example networks that will have routing, subnets automatically configured

      • Infrastructure Stacks

Several infrastructure components that are the base of an application, that will get all their settings configured automatically. Example a two tier design, with Load balancers, autoscaling, High Availability, s3 bucket to store data deployed automatically and effortlessly.

So basically what you say is right, we offer a better and easier way to deploy different cloud resources in the cloud thanks to Archie. :)

You should think about each thing your writing as marketing and you trying to make a sell, even if it's of an idea... words are meaningful and powerful, and you should consider their impact... (you did ask for feedback..)

We are a young, dynamic, creative and friendly multicultural team

So what are you selling me here?
You know how the average person reads this?
young - inexperienced, don't know what we are doing, but we will work for cheap and do more hours, so excuse our mistakes along the way.
multicultural team - most of our team are non native English speaking, don't expect good communication
creative - we aren't good with timelines but we might get you things that aren't standard for good or bad.

innovative Cloud Deployment As A Service Platform

Every CI offer today is pretty much a Cloud Deployment As A Service, with many hosting providing their own versions..
The last thing needed for a Cloud Deployment, is innovative, I need it to be as standard as possible, as streamlined and close to normal and dev...

Cloud Landing Zones, Member Account Baselines, Cloud Resources and Application Stacks

99% of this only you know what it means, as an outsider that's just a hurdle of more things to figure out
"Application Stack" is the only one I wonder if you mean the same as other techs, but I suspect you don't by other context

So your saying this is unique and you have no competition? if so you should look around..

So basically what you say is right, we offer a better and easier way to deploy different cloud resources in the cloud thanks to Archie. :)

You ask for feedback, but I don't think your open to it, your only trying to self promote

        1. 1

Ok, this I got correctly and I agree. We will do some rewording, reduce the text , be more catchy and explain what we want to solve and who should use it. We will as well rephrase the cloud specific terms, as you said, we know what this is, our targets should also know, but could be more understandable to the mass with simple words or example scenarios, agreed. The solution is not a CI ...a CI allows deployment of application, we focus on deployment of cloud infrastructure to support applications. This can be compared to terraform or cloudformation with a frontend and architecting included. This avoids to learn how to design cloud infrastructure and how to code to deploy infrastructures. Maybe not Innovative but a bit different.

Thanks for the detailed answer, appreciated ;)

          1. 1

Many CI platforms now move to be CI/CD, to include deployment.. (example codeship, circleci)
            heroku does simple developer deployments
            gitlab auto DevOps and deployments
            https://docs.gitlab.com/ee/topics/autodevops/stages.html#auto-deploy

Like from a user POV they build the stacks as well, don't even need to think of them as stacks, they just happen, it's a deploy to production without doing anything else.

and serverless is just killing these as well :P

I get you putting an in between solution, but all that feedback, it's not even stated front and center what cloud providers you support? is it your own? aws/gcp/azure? on premise cloud?...

Hey, wow thanks, as you see quite a lot to digest, but will definitely have a look at your comments, having a UX point of view on the top of it is great. We are currently discussing all those comments and making the changes so a new version will come up soon...thanks !
