Feedback on the landing page?

Hi Everyone,

I launched Primer recently. You can visit at https://primerlabs.io.

I feel like the landing page doesn't reflect the value proposition of the product.

Can anyone let me know changes to make it more welcoming or point out to resources making a better landing page?

Thanks and Regards

I think the messaging needs a bit of work, I tried to understand what the product was and I had a hard time following. What I understood from "personal tutor to learn difficult subjects" was it was a service that would connect me with another human to help with that subject. Then I thougtht it was tools to help understand a subject like flash cards and sentence completion exercises. But then there's something about conversational learning and books, and I wasn't sure what those were (the videos flash a lot of things really quickly and hard to follow what's going on). Hopefully that helps identify what might be confusing for people as they try and understand your product.

Thank you Ravi for the detailed response. You are right, the messaging is the problem.

Basically, it's a conversational learning medium that helps you learn on your own. Essentially, rather than reading a book, you have a conversation with the book. Flashcards are automatically generated as you make progress in the course. I wrote a free Python course, which you can use to test out the platform.

There is a shitload of features that is adding to the confusion for the prospective users. I have tried to demystify them in the introductory blog post but nobody is reading that. :( https://primerlabs.io/blog/introducing-primer/

I will have to change the whole thing.

I agree that the value proposition of the website or the problem it is trying to solve is not coming through. In your comment below you have mentioned that it is "like a user having a conversation with a book". You may want to use this statement as the key message.

      Thank you, Atul.

I will try to reposition with a simpler message as you have rightly pointed out.
The promo video is waaaay too fast, I realize now. What are your thoughts on a video of walk-through of the platform by me ? Do you think that would work?

Hi Siddtharth, Yes the video walk through would definitely help but the first impression of the user would be the message on the site. Try to reduce the number of words on the home page. Keep it succinct and simple.
