Hi there everyone! I'm trying to validate my idea by launching a landing page (like Buffer did). In order to achieve my goal, can you please give me feedback on if it makes sense and passes the message? I think I'm not quite there yet
You can find it here:
https://parzival.unicornplatform.com/home-page/
All the information about the product is in the first paragraph on the page. Because that paragraph is so dense, I scrolled right past it looking for something easier to digest, but wasn't able to find it. Normally I would have just left the page at that point, but because I wanted to leave you a comment I scrolled back up to look for what the service actually is. Then your pragraph starts with "Parzival is an interactive learning platform to prepare Individ...." I fell asleep reading the first sentence and couldn't finish it. Your making me do WAY too much work. Use small words. Make it easy to read.
Maybe something like "Play coding games to prepare for your next job interview!" That's something I can understand...
Edit - Actually I really like that idea. If your idea is different than "building games to help people prepare for their tech interviews", then maybe I'll do that.
Hi crobertsbmw thank you in advance for your feedback. It is true indeed that the product description and features are still very fuzzy and plenty of fancy words (while very empty). I'm already working on it, incorporating lots of feedback that I've been collecting the past 10 days. As soon as I have the next phase I'll ask for feedback once again. Thank you very much once again! :D
Would be good if you could list some of the product's features or if you could add screenshots of the app. Also, since you don't have a lot there, maybe I would be a good idea to move the pricing to a separate page, so if the user subscribes on the pricing page is a validation on the pricing, but if get a lot more subscribers from the home page means the price is too high.
Hi keyserfaty, thank you very much for your feedback. At the moment I am still working on my concept and while I have already some screens on what I'm looking to build, I don't know if it would be a good strategy to show them without validating the idea. But what do you think? I'll ask for feedback in some days again so thank you in advance :D
Hey, not sure why I said you should add screenshots. It's just a learning platform, right? Maybe you should add what things you'll be teaching, so you can validate that.
Some suggestions:
Hi jasonleow, thanks for your feedback!
Thank you once again, I'll ask for feedback in some days, after incorporating all the received feedback ;)
Hi Bernardo,
The landing page is a bit too minimalist, it doesn't tell the user what you're actually about.
And digital skills are wide - so I think perhaps try to narrow it down a bit or give a few examples of what kind of training you are offering. ie I'm more focused on development so won't really be interested if the type of training you're offering is more design oriented.
Hi psychox2c, thanks for your feedback. I'll do some adjustments and narrow the scope on digital skills. What I pretend is to help non-tech professionals advance their careers by learning some technological literacy, but yes, I got to be more objective on that. Thank you very much! I'll ask for feedback again soon ;)
I agree with the general commentary: I'm not clear on the specific kind of training you offer. You've got a some good suggestions from other comments for ways to handle it.
I actually immediately understood the "One Seat for One Seat", and thought it was super compelling. Things being equal, I'd definitely rather pay for a service that helps others. I'd also probably pay a premium for it. In fact, it' strong enough that you'd want to do some content marketing around it, and perhaps show the courses you've given away and the successes of those people as strong social proof.
Good luck - I think you're on to something!
Hi tela, thank you very much for your feedback. Due to the feedback collected over the past days, I'll make all the needed adjustments on my landing page and I'll ask for feedback once again. Thank you very much! :D
Hi! A few ideas:
I couldn't understand clearly the service, like you provide the platform? the content?
You should work on that and come for more specific feedback later as its way to early to provide additional ideas
If you need help with copywriting in my agency we can help with that
Best!
Hi ivantabachnik, thank you very much for your actionable feedback. I pretend to provide both the platform and the content. I'm building something like Duolingo or Datacamp but not for language or data science but for non-tech people and about digital skills.
I'll change some things and ask for feedback again later. Thank you very much!! :D
It would help to be more specific about what digital skills you're teaching and to whom. Are you teaching accountants Python and R for better data modelling? Are you teaching marketers how best to use social media? Devops best practices to software developers?
Thank you very much, Jabali. I'm actually rethinking the copywriting there. I assume it is still not clear yet. Thank you
Hi,
It's not clear to me what types of jobs you would be training for. Digital is a large topic.
Also, I wouldn't put the One Seat for One Seat part so high on the page. I still couldn't figure out the core concept of what you do and that was distracting.
Nice feedback kday ! Thank you very much. I'll be changing some things as fast as I can! What I was trying to say with the "One Seat for One Seat" is that for each person buying a Seat we will give One Seat for someone in need.
