Feedback Please.

Hi, I'm working on a daily curated content email. The working tagline I have is: "Best of the Web for People Who Make Ideas Happen".

I'm planning on curating the best podcasts, blog posts, tools, etc. for people to "Build their Audience and Grow their Business".

Can I please get your feedback on those ideas? What do you think of when I say:

"Best of the Web for People Who Make Ideas Happen".
"a daily curation of interesting people, ideas, tools and strategies to Grow Your Audience and Build Your Business."

There are many newsletters (The Hustle, Cramm, Skimm, Dave Pell, etc.) that successfully focus on news. I want to focus on content that will help grow your business. I think news is a distraction.

Would you subscribe to something like that? (It's free.)

Thanks in advance.
John

    @jetsetcitizen Like the idea.

Too early to tell if I would subscribe. Quality matters and keen to know what makes your curation the best but not others.

Newsletter like Skimm, Morning Brew, The Hustle success because they're managed to maintain quality at scale and focus on a clear content proposition.

Thanks Felix! I appreciate you taking the time to respond. The biggest difference is that I would NOT focus on news like the ones you mentioned. It would all be content . (blog posts, podcasts, tools, books, etc.)

I agree it depends on how well I curate the content. Hopefully, I don't mess that part up. :-) There is a lot of great content, but it also takes a lot of time to sift through the fluff.

I’d subscribe to see what it was like. There’s plenty of other newsletters out there covering business growth so you need to think about how you’re going to differentiate.

Interesting podcast on starting a newsletter https://podboxer.com/episodes/4-no-bs-steps-to-launch-a-successful-newsletter

      Hi Paul,

Thanks for that link. That was very helpful.

I'm thinking of focusing on 'thought leaders', although that term is not very descriptive. I want to target curated content for bloggers, authors, podcasters, and content-focused entrepreneurs. Topics would be seo, content marketing, networking, etc. to build your audience.

I wish there were a better term than "thought leaders" or "influencers" to focus on.

      Thanks again,
      John

Hi John, I would subscribe, but it depends on the content for how long I'd stay on your list.
Btw, "Best of the Web for People Who Make Ideas Happen" means nothing to me, it's too vague. "A daily curation of interesting people, ideas, tools and strategies to Grow Your Audience and Build Your Business" is what would make me interested.
