A little over a year ago, I was in a fortunate position where some part-time consulting gigs were offered to me.
I had been following the IH community and the stories here inspired me to take advantage of the situation and
I quit my full-time job to build a product idea that had been floating around in my head - fluxroll.
The journey has been long and hard but it has also been incredibly rewarding at the same time.
I met many people who were generous with their time and have helped improve the product, which is now close to being released as an open beta.
I conceived of the product as I was diagnosing an outage at 3am one morning. As an engineering manager who has worked at a few
companies, a common theme I noticed was that companies haven’t closed the loop on production support yet. Specifically you have PagerDuty
or a variant alerting you that something went wrong, but then you end up scratching your head trying to figure out what possibly changed.
This is compounded by the fact that teams today use micro-services that are deployed continuously. Fluxroll solves this by being able to
answer:
