Feedback wanted: Vercel-like experience for the backend
Our team started with building the Nitric framework, which lets you build and deploy your cloud applications and infrastructure to the cloud of your choice. We've recently gone into public Alpha with our new product - Nitric Deploy.
Nitric Deploy is a Vercel-like experience for apps which handles builds, deployments, and environment management using GitHub integration for automated push-to-deploy pipelines.
It really has been exciting to see users using Nitric Deploy over the last month through our early access preview. We’ve been getting heaps of great feedback on what we can improve, and we've been working on:
- Investigating AWS Lambda cold starts
- Speeding up deploys and improving starter templates
- Managing multiple environments
- Improving the log output during Nitric builds
- Adding features for you to invite your team members to orgs
We're still looking to improve and grow. We'd love to get your feedback as indiehackers, especially to know about why you wouldn't want to try Nitric or just any roadblocks along the way.

This is an interesting product.
It reminds me that Heroku recently announced that they will phase out their free plan. Explaining to users how to switch from Heroku to Nitric might be a good growth opportunity.
Thanks @NicolasTr for the suggestion, that's a great idea for us to make happen. We're definitely interested in what people who used Heroku's free tier are going to switch to as well. We could help them build and deploy backend services quickly with auto-provisioned infrastructure for AWS, GCP or Azure.
