Feedback: What can I do to improve site?

Hi Hackers,

I've been working hard at developing themes for WordPress and would like to know how I can improve my existing theme shop.

As of now I have only created 3 themes and have 2 in queue for release. If you guys could let me know your honest feedback about the site that would be great.

Just a couple of things that haven't already been mentioned:

    1. The main image on the home page took ages to load with my slow internet! It doesn't need to be 2800x1411.
    2. Nothing big, but "quantity.Every" needs a space after the full stop.

Overall it doesn't look too bad.

Thanks mate and will look into resizing the main header image.

I would suggest adding call to actions for each theme on the homepage. Also maybe a call to action in the hero banner at the top.

I also can't tell easily what are the differences between Trooper and Trooper lite.

We've created a complete product to help founders get constructive feedback for their landing page UI/UX.

    My suggestions:

    • Add a call to action in your header. Something like "Browse themes".
    • Your title mentions you're also making plugins, yet I can't find any on the website.
    • The "main menu" toggle contains 2 menu items. I don't see the need for those to be hidden behind a toggle. It adds an extra click to my flow so I'm likely not going to click it.
    • Add a 'demo' button below each theme on the home page. Demos are your selling point so make it easy for users to get to them.
    • Your theme detail pages always have the same feature list. It's generic and not specific to each theme.
    • I don't see the difference between trooper & trooper lite. Why do I need premium?
    • Social buttons at the bottom are too dark. Not easy to see on most screens.

    How are sales so far?

Thanks for the feedback and these are things I do not normally see nor notice. As for sales I’ve been average around the ~50 to $75usd per month but as stated in other threads the theme market is completely saturated and I am currently not open to exploring marketplaces.

Indeed. It's a market with a lot of buyers, but also a lot of players :-) Theme businesses tend to do good though! Best of luck!

I can't see anything. Certain elements are too dark, such as the navigation, and social links at the bottom.

Looks great overall - focus on getting the traffic. There are a couple of visual issues when I’m viewing on my iPhone (narrow width). I can send you a couple of screen captures showing you what these are - don’t see an email though and no way to upload images here. I’ll just do my best to describe it:

    1. view demo and price button overlap
    2. Text columns very narrow on same page e.g. under ‘stellar support’ and ‘modern design’ headers. Probably need to make these full width on narrow width screens.

Thanks mate for the feedback will look into getting that fixed
