Feeling lost in the marketing world

Hi everyone,

I've recently been using organic posts in Facebook and Reddit groups as my main marketing strategy, and I've found it to be really effective in getting traction and engaged users. However, I hate using groups and I'm starting to worry about the potential downsides of this approach. I want to use paid advertising so I can avoid using groups, but the conversion rate isn't covering the cost of the advertising, groups seem to be the only thing that works. I'm looking for ways to build a more sustainable marketing strategy, and I just don't know what to do. I'm looking for your help. Do any of you have any suggestions on how I can continue using organic posts while minimising the risk of spamming the groups and decreasing their effectiveness over time?

Perhaps i need another founder, or maybe the idea just doesn't have the right market fit. What would you do?

Thanks in advance.
Tom.

I've checked out your profile and have a few suggestions that may help.

Facebook groups and ads have 2 VERY different target audiences.

People who are scrolling in Facebook groups are looking for information and solutions to their problems.

People who are scrolling their feed just want to have fun.

When marketing to the people who are scrolling, it's VERY important to have a strong hook, big pain point, an easy solution, urgency and an amazing offer.

The hook needs to grab the correct readers and entice them to read more. It should be targeted towards ONLY people who will buy your product.

The pain point/problem needs to seem urgent, massive and have some sort of effect on human's fundamental wants or needs (money, health, comfort, etc). You need to make it seem like this pain point is the worst thing in the world.

The solution needs to be easy and instant and backed up by proof. This can be social proof, an explanation, etc.

Then, in order to get them to click now, you need to add elements of urgency to the copy. For instance "The longer you wait to bring your physical show live, the more money you lose, the more competing venues gain an advantage, etc ..." Always make it negative, losing $100 gets a stronger motional response then making $100.

Going organic on social media is good but it takes time (that you expect) sometime because social media is all about money (paid ads). I would say is consistency and persistence is needed. When it comes to paid ads ( you can do but that is only going to be a buzz) not your marketing strategy.

Checked your website - you have added social proof, if you have any testimony (add that - build trust), Give visual treat in your landing page for the user to understand and catch their attention.

Please change the font of your website and your add color to your footer - make your website appealing

It sounds like we have similar marketing strategies. I’ve been using Facebook groups to raise awareness for my app, and I think I’ve nearly tapped out the potential there.

Lately, writing blogs has been a huge help. It doesn’t get you anywhere fast, but it could help in the long run. I signed up for the free version of ahrefs, and they email me keyword suggestions. I’ve started writing blogs based on their suggestions, and I’m seeing more organic search traffic because of it.

SEO takes time, but it's worth for long term

I just saw your product landing page "crush the market", if you are trying to promote this. I suggest you add social proof.

That will give a boost to your conversions.

I would love to get tips on how to better results on facebook groups for our linktree alternative

The moderators seem to think everything is commercial post and seem to reject quickly.
Not as bad as reddit though. I gave up on Reddit a long time ago.

You could try using the same groups, but instead of posting it to the group, use DMs.

Maybe a bit more hustle, but you can personalize more.

And regarding your second question - I think you could try another audience if you feel like the current isn't it.

Think of other people who struggle with the problem you are solving the most and try reaching out to them.
