Here is a snippet from this week's version of the Album Daily newsletter. With all of the fear disseminating in the media lately, I think it is important to slow down and feel comforted, which this album does a great job of doing.

"Van Morrison is a great example of timeless music. Invoking feelings of comfort and peace allows his music to transcend cultural contexts by focusing on what is inherently human. He uses a myriad of instruments, including saxophone, guitar, and trumpet to create a cozy, safe feeling on this 1970 treasure. Some of the tracks even drift into the swing category, namely “Moondance”, which sounds like it belongs in the sound system of a speakeasy."
