Fetch Events: My first bootstrapped side project with monetisation intents [Feedback]
Hi guys! I’m developing my first bootstrapped side project with monetisation intents. It’s called Fetch Events (http://fetch.events/) and you can see a mockup of the website here: https://www.toptal.com/designers/resume/tiago-machado#project=fetch-events-website&image=1
Fetch Events is a curated list of of the best design, technology and game events around the world. I'm tired of having to sort through mass amounts of information around the web to find (and keep track of) great events and their dates, venues, ticket info, social media accounts or streaming links. I'm planning on having a way to warn users whenever an event of their interest is about to start (although not MVP wise, since I’m not planning on implementing accounts and profiles before I validate the concept). I could let people create accounts and comment on events, but I’m afraid it’s too early to have such a complex setup in place (and would delay the launch of the product).
The monetisation would be made via Carbon Ads as soon as I have decent numbers to show (in the future, if the numbers are good, I cold sell my own ad space and get rid of Carbon Ads). Right now I’m looking for feedback, both on the concept, interfaces, functionality and monetisation strategy.
