Few Days Since Launch: 200+ Unique Visitors and What I’ve Learned

It’s been few days since I pushed LinkMedic live. As a solo developer working after my day job, I didn't expect a viral hit, but the data from Cloudflare is encouraging. Here’s a quick breakdown of my first week in the wild.

The Numbers:

  • Unique Visitors: 204

  • Total Requests: 32.26k

  • Data Served: 299 MB

Where did they come from? Most of the traffic came from my initial "Launch" post here on Indie Hackers and a few Reddit threads. It’s fascinating to see how a simple, honest story about building a tool on nights and weekends resonates more than any "polished" marketing copy ever could.

Observations from the "Clinic":

  1. The "Waitlist" Game: I submitted LinkMedic to several SaaS directories. One told me the queue is 150+ days long! It taught me that manual outreach and community engagement are way more effective than just waiting for directories to list you.

  2. Server Stability: With 32k requests, my background Cron system is holding up well. Moving the crawling logic away from the browser session was the best decision I made.

  3. Pricing Feedback: People seem to appreciate the clear distinction between the "Free Ambulance" and "Pro Hospital" tiers.

What’s Next? My next goal is to move from "Unique Visitors" to "Registered Active Users." I'm currently tweaking the onboarding flow to make sure those 200+ people see the value of a full diagnostic scan immediately.

Solo founders: How did your first week look like? Did you see a huge spike or a slow, steady climb?
