Figured out what my first product will be....thanks to a quick talk with one of my favorite people.

This morning I talked with one of my favorite people, a person who I’ve always looked up to and has always given me great feedback:

My dad.

We were planning my weekly Saturday visit with my son, since he lives with his mom near my parents while I’m living in the city. He’s 7 and is absolutely obsessed with YouTube, mobile and console games, etc. Well on Saturdays, I don’t let him do all that while we hang out. We make up games to play with stuff that we already have (balls, frisbees, hula hoops, and other random stuff), make a scoring structure to keep it competitive and interesting, and it keeps us active and busy - no technology needed!

My product will be an ebook with 15 of our game ideas with the scoring models and hopefully an accompanying free app for scorekeeping! I’m not sure if the latter is feasible, I don’t know anything about building an app or making it available for Android AND iOS users, but that’s just an add-on if it’s possible.

I’m planning to start writing while I’m on the train to and from my day job, and on some of my off time either in the morning or at night, hopefully having it completed and ready to market by mid March. I’d really like to offer this one as a “Volume 1” and offer subsequent volumes with additional games, offered at a discounted rate to previous buyers.
