Just wanted to share with the community what I've been experiencing recently.
I believe figuring out how to generate inbound leads is the way to go for bootstrappers. 💡
It's just astonishing how much easier it is to talk to the folks who already know they have a problem.
Makes client conversations actually exciting. ✨
Go find out how you can do it for your business! It's worth the effort! ✌️
Cold outreach
🤔
Never had a sales effort in my previous business, it was all inbound and then email / community promotion.
Pretty interesting! What were your strategies?
Honestly, my life long strategy is to always be interesting + useful.
Forget what everyone else is doing and figure out how to serve value.
I would always be looking out for how other people are doing things, then pick and choose things that would work for my community. Pretty simple...but not so simple!
I've done lots over the years! And the more I've done things, the more I've just stuck with the kind of things that I enjoy, or that I know I could stick with for a decent amount of time.
Nothing worse than forcing yourself to do something that you don't actually enjoy, imho.
What made them come? SEO, content, or anything else? How much time did it take you to get a decent inflow of inbound leads?
Community.
Come for the community, stay for the content.
Come for the content, stay for the community.
This all took years. 2007 - current day. It evolved overtime, but mostly it's always been focusing on what works now + what is actually useful to our community/audience.
Thanks for sharing! ✌️
