Finally did it! Launched my own online business!

Hi everyone!

After months of contemplating, daydreaming, and thinking of excuses on why NOT to launch, I finally overcame my doubts. I launched Service Llama: www.servicellama.com. We are an online agency that provides unlimited graphic design & unlimited copywriting for a flat

    Can't see a favicon.
Why is your call to action "view pricing"? "Get started now" would be better.
Also clicking it opens to a new tab.

Might be worth having a simple FAQ at the bottom and a link to the more advanced one.

Don't think the contact us needs to be on a new page. Just makes it harder for the visitor.

Might want to look into https://instant.page/ for faster page loading time as well.

An about us page would also build more confidence. Knowing who is behind the company helps.

Apart from that it looks great.

      Hi there!
Thanks for the awesome feedback! I added a favicon and changed the CTA. I'll work on adjusting the other items soon. Really appreciate the insight.
And as promised, I'm willing to provide you a free basic graphic if you wish! Just message or email me at [email protected]!

    Congrats!
What I noticed is your footer is different on the main page and in on FAQ page (the first one is broken I believe).
I also would suggest making the account sign up form narrower. Currently, it's very wide and looks a little bit unprofessional (especially for the designer's website).
I like llama on the landing page but the fact the picture is fixed is annoying a little bit (but it's very subjective, I know).

    Best!

      Hi there!

Thanks for the awesome feedback! Those are all great concerns and suggestions. I'll have to get working on them. Hopefully Wordpress will make it easy on me.

        Yahoo!
        Thanks a lot!
        I will email you.
I'll also let you know if I find other issues.
P.S. I like your approach, you actually have much more feedback than if you'd just ask for it not giving anything back. But I also wonder if the amount of feedback is balanced with the volume of work you will do for free? Tnx!

Thanks! Eventually, I'll cap it and make an edit it in my original post to say I'm no longer giving out freebies. It's honestly a win/win for me. It's free feedback & free (hopefully) marketing. If I provide something that knocks their socks off, it's possible they sign up for the service as well!
Also, I noticed in your original comment you mentioned you wanted a logo. Unfortunately, in this small promo I don't provide logos. I can explain further in your email. If you still want a flyer/poster/social media banner/ad - let me know!

            Yeah, right.

Oh, that's fine. I actually already have a logo, I just thought maybe you can polish it a little bit (in comparison with creating a flyer from the scratch), but that's okay.
            Good luck!

Great site, How does the flow goes? when I click on the call to action it takes to me to prices, why not to sign up showing the prices on the side, while I'm signing up you ask me for which plan I want and then for my payment information.

-when I create an account it would be nice if you highlight the menu option I'm in.

-Under subscriptions, if I do not have any subscription, why do not show them there for me so it easier for me to just pick and pay.

-The link to store on the subscription page does not go anywhere.

-When I click on 'sign up now' on the pricing tables it takes to a page different to the register page, here you do ask for payment info.

    I like the Llama though.
All the best on your project.
    Great job!

AVG is not letting me open it - complaining about URL:PHISHING

    1. 1

Hmmm that's weird. One other person told me that as well but I don't know how to get to the bottom of it. Seems like it's happening for people with AVG. I posted my link on FB & Reddit as well. Wonder what's going on.

          I'll check it out. Thanks!

Some of your logos look like they were generated with Logojoy.

      Hi there!
These were custom designed by our designers on staff. I'll double check to make sure what they used were theirs and remove them from our staff if they regurgitated the design from LJ.

Great website! I agree with the other comments.

The only thing for me is to make it a little bit more "human".

In order to reassure the customer, I would love to see a few examples of who is going to do the work, and have better idea of their credentials and qualifications. It says "the top professionals with the right skills" but for me it's a little bit vague and that could potentially be a reason why I would not move forward.

    Congratulations

      Hi there!

Appreciate the feedback and insight! I'll get to work on adding more reassurance.

    Great job!

Agree with @volkandkaya, the CTA should be Get Started.

I feel like the navbar is too crowded. Let the customers read your landing page.

The offering is kinda confusing when I get to the Services section. So other than copywriting, you also can provide blog posts? Does "Landing Pages" includes HTML/CSS? Or just the design and text?

    1. 1

      Hey there!
Thanks for the feedback and insight! I will work on cleaning up the Navbar. I updated the Landing Page part to include design & content (we do not offer HTML/CSS). I'll revamp the Services section soon to better communicate what we offer.
And as promised, I'm willing to provide you a free basic graphic if you wish! Just message or email me at [email protected]!

I love the website and the service you are offering! Good job!

      Thanks!! Appreciate the kind words!

Seems like it could be a great service for your customers, and I like your site. Will you match customers with third party freelance creators? What do you use to accept payments?

    1. 1

Thank you! We already have awesome designers & copywriters on staff so there is no need to "match". There is no interaction or looking for freelancers on our websites - we just aim to provide awesome material. We use stripe to accept payments - is there any other payment sources you recommend?

I appreciate your offer, but I have no need for a graphic at this time. Best of luck, and I'll keep an eye on your business!
