Finally had a user feedback session yesterday!
I finally had a user feedback session. It was awesome to finally see someone outside of family and friends use the product Im building, Optimule.com.
The kind person, who I connected with through Reddit, kindly volunteered some of his time. He gave me huge insight into the frictions of the product and possible solutions to solve them. Thank you kind stranger for you 45 min Zoom call.
I was nervous at first to ask for help, resorting to basically begging people to give the site a shot. But I have no regrets.
To keep the karma strong, I'm willing to pay it forward and give someone a feedback session on their product if they would like it.

Congrats Andrew, that's a great milestone! There's been so many times that we've used user research at OpinionX to reset what we're prioritising and to crowdsource solutions and undiscovered pain points. User research is really underrated, especially for indie projects at this stage we're both at.
@danielkyne that's an awesome project, but I have an idea how to make it useful for those who are at the validation stage. You can do what UserBob does or just cooperate with them and find a number of interviewees for us who would be happy to fill a survey for a dollar or two.
Very interesting project @danielkyne - What's the best use case of OpinionX and I am wondering how'd you measure the success of surveys?
Our favourite use case is when product & UX teams use OpinionX to discover users' biggest unmet needs before they jump into a new project. It's a great way to get solid data from users about a new project full of "unknown unknowns" in a quick but meaningful way.
Andrew that rocks! Did you just post on Reddit asking for feedback? Was this a user or someone in your audience? I'm curious because it wasn't apparently a user or someone who used your trial.
Yeah, I went to a very specific subreddit related to the target industry, and told them what I was doing. I asked if anyone wanted to give it a try and give me some feedback. I got a lot of responses, but only one came through on the feedback.
It was really nice to get out of my private audience (friends and family) and someone who worked in the industry.
