8 weeks of coding and writing later Marketing Examples is on the web!

The idea is pretty simple really: Real world marketing case studies to help you learn

There's a nice phrase in business: “Build the product only you can build”. And that was my driving force. I would ask myself, “What are my unique talents? What can I make that no one else in the world can? Even if they tried. Even if they had money”. And this is what I came up with!

I'm planning on writing a new case study every day or so. The long term goal is to become the Dribbble of marketing! Just like whenever a designer wants inspiration they go to Dribbble, whenever a marketer wants inspiration they come to this site.

Would love any feedback. About the site, the case studies, or what you think my short term priorities should be?

  Short answer: Not for a while yet! I think you need a good email base, with plenty of traffic flowing through to get something like that to work. Short term priority is focused on writing more good case studies, building up the SEO, and actually trying to monetise. The email captures are my short term solution of bringing users back. We'll see how that goes.
  
  Glad you picked up on the SEO. I spent a while thinking working this out. Each case study as well as a modal is also a page in its own right, with a unique slug, h1 tags, meta tags, etc ... Kind of how Nomad List works. You open the popup, but if you actually visit the url a separate page exists which can indexed by Google. So you can post a specific page to IH, Twitter, wherever. Being primarily a content site this was key ...
