Finally making updates to our landing page.. What else do you think needs to change?

I think it needs more work, perhaps screenshots of the app, use some android icon to show that it's an android app, add some video to give it some life. I don't think people will trust this app.
There is a lot to read but nothing is catching my eye, it's hard to get what the app would do without reading a lot. I think what you offers facebook and all other social networks offer? Or perhaps you need to show how you different from other social networks?

Really excited about the concept, I feel like this will definitely strike a chord with the right audience but the one thing that puts me off is the 'download' button. What am I downloading exactly? If it was a 'sign up' button I'd have clicked it by now.

Certainly more comfortable signing in to something rather than downloading something. If it does need to be downloaded (what's the reason?) and can you explain it?

About your site: It looks ok, but a bit generic and boring. And there are about 500 other privacy-focused messengers, so I'm not very excited about it. Not sure if it does anything better than say WhatsApp.

Decentralization sounds interesting, but as a technical user, I'd have to know more about it. However, non-technical users won't care a bit about this because they don't understand it. Very tough market to get into tbh.

It seems at first look to me to be a privacy conscious social media app.

Social proof is a must. Who uses and what do they say about it? i.e. if NASA is using it that should be in BIG letters for the world to see. I am at the stage of my startup where in general people and news outlets say 'cool idea!' but then ask 'who is using it?' Social proof is essential marketing and needs to be on the landing IMO.

The page looks nice! I agree with the points that brettwill made. The call to action is really clear, but the page looks a bit Wordpress-esque, though that's not necessarily a bad thing. I would also like to see some screenshots of the app to know what I would get by downloading.

For me the website looks simple and clear.

I would add the download link also to the header.

@Obp Thoughts coming from a UX/UI designer:

1. It's pretty clear what your value proposition is; a more secure/private social media platform. I get that without even having to scroll past the hero. Good job there.

2. If you truly intend on being "Facebook's never rival", I would strongly suggest enhancing the overall design of your website. Though clean, it currently looks like you used a barebones Wordpress template, slapped some content in, downloaded a photo from Unsplash, and called it a day. If you're going to want to be a serious contender in the technology space, you're going to need to invest in some good UI work here. But, perhaps what you have will suffice for an MVP or preview.

3. I would love to see some screenshots of the app prior to download. It's a pretty common/expected practice for mobile app landing pages to at least provide a preview of what to expect.

Overall, I think you did a nice job with the content. It's clear and concise. The design just needs to be enhanced and it'll be a much better place. Good luck!
