Hi All,
I have been hiring and also hired multiple times in my career and one thing I have noticed is that 80% of the time, the skill of a tech candidate is about 50% of what I perceived by going through his/her CV and LinkedIn profile.
Basically Linkedin profile and CVs are glorified version of candidates. This adds a lot of burden on recruiters to filter right candidates who actually clear through the tech screening process.
Any programmer is as good (a programmer) as his/her code is, based on this philosophy I started building pludous.com, which sources tech candidates from the code they have written (currently its github).
Secondly, I have also noticed that most of the time good tech candidates are passive and its really tough for recruiters to dig and find those gems.
Pludous - Finds tech candidates based on their location, skills (actual code they have written).
I am opening (beta version) pludous for closed communities to try and see if helps them. Currently, it's free to use and I am all ears for feedback.
thanks
