Finding Developers to sell GitHub Repos and Docker Containers
I have a project https://sugarkubes.io/ to help indie developers monetize private github repos and docker containers.

Creating issues on repos I thought would be cool to sell premium versions of (starter projects, useful front end modules, etc). Some people were open, many people were aggressive and hostile.

HN posts - they're hit or miss, sometimes I get a huge boost but it dies by the end of the day.

Medium - Medium used to be a great place for distribution but I find it not working quite as well for me anymore. Then again some people get huge numbers on medium for frankly garbage posts, I don't know how they do it.

Cold emailing developers - I got a few F** You's on twitter but it was pretty decent in terms of open rates.
Any other suggestions for reaching developers?
One idea I came up with was to launch a side project "/repolist" to Product Hunt + HN.
Basically a list of all the best open source git hub repos. Put it behind your own url. I think this could do well on Hacker News and Product Hunt. And then you'd get an SEO benefits (as your own url) as well as an opportunity to market your main product whilst people are sucked into RepoList. Or maybe even Repo Hunt (and it be like a Product Hunt for GitHub repos).
Side product marketing is fairly common. Here's a talk on it
This isn't bacon and eggs marketing. But it's something which could accompany a more direct approach.
