No Code/Building In Pub Experiment: Seltzer Index
Whatsup fam. I'm a Indie Hackers lurker who recently got pretty intrigued by a No Code tweet I saw where someone was able to spin up a pretty sophisticated app in a short amount of time using No Code methodologies. I had never taken the No Code stuff too serious before that, but decided to take a dive in recently and was v impressed with it's capabilities.
So to get a bit of practice I went ahead and created Seltzer Index with a Softr (No Code platform) and Airtable stack. I am an old washed dude who can only really drink hard seltzers these days otherwise I am hungover for weeks, so this is a fun project for me to try and narrow down which ones are the best and try to build a community.
This project took me around 8ish hours to spin up (crazy to me). The goal is to rate + review as many seltzers as I can and to form a community around it that wants to do the same. You can currently sign up to review individual seltzers that are on the website or if you simply want to view the data we have captured you can visit the site as well.
I'm still iterating on the site, but my plans moving forward:
Think of ways where I could potentially monetize the application. Merch, sponsorships, etc. Will explore and share my findings as I move forward.
Drive traffic through social. Want to take a crack at using Tik Tok. Already have a Twitter account.
Add more seltzers to the site. Currently you need to be an admin on the site to add them. I'll be doing them on an ad-hoc basis as I pump out content. I think it would be a good idea to use Loom to do live reviews on social apps.
Also if anyone is interested in creating Review/Yelp type sites like this i'd be happy to help you for your niche. Thanks in advance for any feedback. Pumped to share my progress.
