It's 7:15 again and I'm ready for the day! :)
My second version of the app FriendTime, on which I started working 4 days ago, is almost done. I may finish the core functionality today, and the in app payments tomorrow, so I can ship it on Sunday.
I've built the first version in 26 hours and have built and shipped another startup Bij.link in just 14 hours. They were not successful - for different reasons :(
I hope I can learn some things in this community - especially about marketing - in order to make my coming product(s) successful!
Quickly, my core principles to ship products fast (I may do a longer post about it if people like it)
Currently building my first product and these are such useful things to learn. Thank you for sharing.
Best of luck!
Completely agree! I've recently adopted this strategy myself, and feel like I'm being so much more productive with my time. By shipping in a short amount of time, I can get the core functionality out there quickly, see if people find it useful and so on.
Too many of us can easily fall into the trap of building products for months or even years, without knowing if it solves anyone's problems. I've tried to get out of that myself by programming the core functionality and trying not to get sidetracked haha xD
Great post, and wishing you success on Sunday!
3 years ago I build my first startup and it took me 3 months to finish an MVP of the product. No marketing done whatsoever... Nowadays I try to reach this same point within 1-2 weeks. Spend the rest of the month on marketing.
