Finished at 2am... sticking to my IH NY Resolution

Today is Day 10 of my 2024 goal to start from scratch, and build a $15,000 MRR startup in one year.

So far progress has been awesome!

On the product side, I have my MVP built (a React web app) with functional backend (Firestore makes so easy). Definitely very ugly, but it works.

On the GTM side, I have a first customer! Kinda. It's honestly just a friend, but he's the exact target persona I'm looking for, and he's interested in using the product, so I'm trying to make it as good as I can for him.

We're currently configuring the product to fit his exact specifications, and hoping to get it in his hands by the end of this weekend.

I think it's about 2am currently where I'm at (NYC). I would have loved to have been in bed a few hours ago, but I had to stay up late to honor my New Year's resolution: 365 days of Alex Hormozi's Rule of 100. Basically, it's a numbers game strategy, reaching out to a ton of people, with the goal of trying to secure sales for any idea (regardless of the product) by sheer volume.

I think my idea isn't that bad, so it should work great (I hope). It's been hard to spend so much time on top of busy work days, but I'm glad it's forcing me to focus on go-to-market. I have a terrible habit of being a product-focused indie hacker, not spending any time on go-to-market, so as a result, I have a lot of projects I've started and never shared, and I have never had users or revenue. So this is really forcing me to put my products out there, which I think is great.

If you're also a nights / weekends founder, would love to connect :) either at @laplacemonk on Twitter, or irl if you're also based in nyc.

    Love this idea.
