Finished my first project 🎉

Hi guys!

My name is Ben and I have been part of this community for years, lurking in the shadows.

I have had time in recent weeks to start and actually finally complete one of my projects, instead of just leaving it to rot in a half finished state.

It is a tool that creates visualisations of data in a couple of clicks.

The idea popped in my head after repeatadly seeing tweets that had data points for example:

Q1: 200
Q2: 350
Q3: 375
Q4: 400

and thought a nice visualisation of such a tweet would be much better.

You can check out the site for free at chartsnap.io

Please let me know if you have any feedback!

Thanks

    Congrats Ben!
ChartSnap looks pretty good. I think no-code users or marketers will find this pretty useful. Keep it up!

Thanks, these were the primary groups I was going after hopefully I can get a couple of users just to generate some feedback!

Looks pretty good but in general I do not think many people would pay for such a service

Looks nice! What types of charts do you support? Figma and Sketch plugins?

Though, to be honest, I don’t want another subscription in my life, so I’ll probably pass the $9/mo.

Thanks! For now just 6 basic charts (bar, line, area, scatter, heatmap and radar) looking to add more in the coming days.

Fully understand, I am testing currently with different pricing / freemium models to see what works - Not sure what is best yet, will have to run for a while...

    Good one, Ben!
May I ask, what are your plans for this one? Will it be a SaaS eventually?

Thanks! Yes I am working on landing page updates/upgrades now and will try test some different monetisation variants...see how it goes :D

As others said, nice little product you got here.

A few little pieces of feedback:

    • Slow down the demo gif, you've seen this a million times, we haven't
    • Improve your gif quality, the text is hard to read, and the artifacts make it look a bit too rough
    • Show us broken out screens e.g. front end and back end, in still pictures so we can digest the idea a bit more

Thanks for taking the time for some feedback!

I agree with all the points you mention here, will work on making the landing page more explanatory of the product features.

As a non-coding person, I can say it is amazing. It looks good and works too. Keep it going, don`t leave your projects a rot. I think you can make living by it!

    Hi Ben,

    Congratulations on your launch!

May I ask you, did you have a launch list of potential customers? If so how did you build it up?

    Best regards,

    Bart

      Hi Bart,

      Thanks!

No I didn’t have a launch list, my launch plan wasn’t really thought out at all to be honest.

All I have done so far is posts on reddit and will expand to twitter and see how it goes.

The primary goal for now is to gain feedback to iterate on the product to make it as useful as possible.

Hope you find your customers! All the best.
