Hello hackers! I am looking for some feedback on my startup's landing page.
I developed it myself using: React Gatsby TailwindCSS Contentful
Any feedback will be much appreciated!
Landing Page: https://nesteggapp.com
Looking really good!
Considering the change in the wind regarding 4-year degrees, it might be good to make the mention of "not just for education" more prominent. People may be thinking to keep their options open.
It's maybe a little confusing to have the heading "Custodial Accounts 101" at the top of both of those pages...and forgive me for skimming but I'm not sure how much info is duplicated across the two. Seems like a lot?
Under the first FAQ point, I would be careful with the language there. Maybe make it a bit more abstract/hands-off so as to offer it more as plausible example than as setting expectations.
The two photos are fine individually but the pairing is kind of distracting, mostly the big difference in tonality. And aside from visually, it invites narratives like "Carefree stay at home mother and struggling single mother"; also, in the context of the gentle, rounded, pastel site design these being the only photos might say "this app is for women" -- either of which may be a message you are trying to send, of course. (Actually, on the larger image on the blog page I see there's no ring visible on the model in the bright picture either...this may sound silly but people pick up on these cues and they're always putting stories to pictures.)
Overall really good job on the copy, with consistent formatting. A line on the homepage you might want to change: "Nest Egg uses a secure method for users to safely connect their bank account." (Maybe "a bank account"? I would probably go with "for you to safely connect your bank account.") Another on the homepage: "give your child a strong financial start as adults."
Hope that's helpful! It's looking great.
Shawn,
I really appreciate you taking the time to review my site and come up with great constructive criticism. I have updated the site, maybe you could take a peek when you have time. I plan on re-doing the blog posts to be smaller/easier to digest summaries.
Thanks again!
