hey guys would love your feedback on this landing page I put together last night.
https://planningpermission.co/fire-plan.html
Is it clear? or does it have too much text?
way too much going on. you should keep it simple and structured super clean. on my website i convert users at 60%. here's a link for reference Explodingideas.co
hi mate I did the change, what do you think? https://planningpermission.co/fire-plan-outline.html
thanks eric I'm making changes to match!
Yes, there's a bit too much text. The typography is all over the place.
Lose the hero text background. Just make it transparent.
Form:
font-weight: normal;1.5rembetween "Get started" and the formThe "Fire plan done for you" box looks out of place. It's unaligned and its corners aren't rounded. Not sure why that whole thing is an image as it's not going to be responsive. At the very least, use an
altattribute.Use a darker and slightly saturated colour for the background, e.g.
#130717.What's with that 80px high SVG at the bottom? It's pushing the footer below the fold.
On higher viewports than mine (and when I zoom out), the footer should be no higher than the bottom of the viewport.
Here are some design tips which I found on HN a few months ago: https://anthonyhobday.com/sideprojects/saferules/
hi mate I did some more changes what do you think? https://planningpermission.co/fire-plan-outline.html
thanks mate!
I would say that some branding is missing at the top. The company logo feels essential to understand where did I come and who you are. The description under title feels like it is a warning I can skip reading. If you want people to read it - make it a part of the title (paragraph below) not a separate block.
The banner on the right feels like it can be clickable but it is not.
There is also some white space a the bottom which doesn't make sense.
So, a bit of a fine-tuning and you are good to go. Good luck!
Personally, I'm not a fan of a long title, if it's possible please make the title as short as possible, so everyone only needs a split second to understand the context.
"Fire floor plan done for you." - There seems to be typographical error.
Maybe add an image of actual floor plan in the banner, would be more relevant. https://www.pexels.com/search/floor plan/
as mentioned by @stevetaylor The labels are too heavy.
thanks mate
Could the word "person" in "As a responsible person of…" be replaced with something more specific like resident, manager, owner (I don't know what would actually apply here)?
I don't know what's involved in getting the report (maybe it's more obvious to your target audience). I would want to see some more details on what will happen after I hand over my email address. Even if it's something like "We'll ask you a few simple questions and arrange for an inspection…"
