I've been tweeting every day of 2022 and here are the results: π
The good thing about starting from the bottom is the only way is up π
Here's what I learnt:
Tweeting consistently is everything:
As you tweet more, the community becomes more familiar with you and you gain followers.
When you're a tiny account like me, solo tweets won't get you far. For me, my tweets only get around 10-20 impressions.
I wrote a thread but it flopped:
I made memes but no one saw them:
BUT, there is hope! When you reply to someone popular, your impressions are now like 5k which is 500x better!! All my tweets that did well and got me a following were replies to other people.
If you write something or make a meme try to involve a popular creator in it to drive engagement.
So, I'm going to focus on that now.
Let me know if you have any other insights!
I like that meme! π
What's your overarching goal in tweeting more?
Thanks Brandon!
My goal was just to build an audience. When I launched my first product it was like launching into the void. I figure it'll be easier to get some initial users and testers if I have an audience.
Thanks for the motivation! Being consistent is the key.
Yup, it really hurts when a tweet you put effort into flops but ultimately you just gotta keep doing it. I'll provide another update after a month...if I last that long...
Keep up the good work! That was really inspiring, I should start doing that.
I learnt the importance of an audience the hard way, definitely worth it.
I'm warming up on IH and Twitter will be my next platform :) Thanks for sharing your insights!
Same for me! Let's see how that goes :)
Let me know how it goes!
When you're starting small (where I'm too), it seems as if people don't care much when you share about your experience because they don't trust your credibility. I experience this as well even though I feel I got something useful to share.
What seems to work better is curating what more popular or successful people/companies did that brought them success . At least in the early stages. That's what many people utilise today and it seems to work better!
Anyway, good luck with your journey mate!
Yup for sure. I thought I would just share the mistakes I made the first time around since they're common pitfalls.
Thanks and good luck to you too!
