First Affiliate Site - How can I find users to submit content?
After reading about some success will affiliate sites on IndieHackers, I've decided to create my own. The premise of my site is that the content comes from users, but I'm unsure how I can get users to send me this content. I've attempted to contact users on Reddit in relevant subreddits, offering a $10 Amazon Gift Card and self promotion in their submission, although I've had limited success (1 out of ~30). How can I incentivize users to submit content for this website, and what is the best way to find users?
What's your URL? It's hard to answer the question without knowing exactly what you're doing.
The website is still very early in development (I'm collecting some content now from 5-10 users so I can have some content when the site is launched), but basically its a website to showcase people's workstations. I've been contacting users on r/Battlestations to find contributors so far.
That's going to be tough. Do you have any influence in the community? An email list? A YouTube channel? If so, use your existing audience. If not, try and tap into an influencer in the community.
Unfortunately don't have any influence in the community. What's the most effective way to reach our to influencers?
