So I experienced an interesting feeling this week.
I finally put together an MVP for IndianEntry.com. My initial customer acquisition idea was a failure (you can't run ads for gov't services), but I made a Facebook post and that lead to my first inquiry!
My initial feeling wasn't excitement.
I was worried if I'd be able to deliver on what I promised.
It's common for people to recommend that you start before you're ready and create a Minimum Viable Product that at least proves people are interested. Just be ready for that "oh shit" moment when you realize you're now on the hook.
Btw, I'm not saying this feeling is bad.
I've got more done in the last two days than in the last 2 months. That stress and urgency can lead to great work.
Expect it and embrace it :)
i don't get your offering. you are offering a service to submit to another service(vfs)? why won't your customers go directly to vfs ?
Good question! VFS is the official intermediary that you need to go through to submit to the Embassy.
But you still have to fill out initial information through the government which is very confusing and frustrating. This service makes it more intuitive about what documents you need to submit and guarantees your application will reach the Indian Embassy.
Just can't make any promises from there because the embassy can reject for whatever reason.
