First Indie project, hungry for feedback 🙏

Hey IndieHackers! 👋

Excited to share our first weekend side-project - https://endorse.fyi/, built to help our colleagues in the tech industry affected by COVID-19 layoffs.

The idea is very simple - sign up if you need assistance or volunteer to help out colleagues with resume review, mock interviews or referral. If you’ve lost your job recently, tell us what you need help with most. We’ll match you with an amazing volunteer who can provide you with the assistance needed to find your next professional position.

We built this to help our colleagues, with no intention of profiting from it. We’ll greatly appreciate any feedback you can provide about the idea, the content or the website so we can quickly iterate and ship it. 🚀

Thank you! 🙏

Love the intent here — matching people to get practical help quickly is the right instinct.

    A couple landing-page / product thoughts:

    • Be explicit about what happens after signup (match time, what info is shared, privacy). People sharing resumes are often anxious about exposure.
    • A simple “request types” flow (resume review vs mock interview vs referral) + expected turnaround would set expectations.
    • If you ever add a lightweight first step, a quick automated “resume health report” (common issues + concrete rewrite suggestions) could be a useful pre-filter before a human review.

Great project — especially for April 2020 timing.

Congratulations on your first project! I don't have much to say. Like @felix12777 , execution is what matters in this project so looking forward to hearing. Keep updating us!

Great job and nice idea @deepitapai

Keen to see the real product and execution. Keep me posted :)

I'm also working on a [small project] to support the situation, would love to hear your ideas!

Great site. I thought it was sleek an to the point. I must agree with Marti's comment. I feel the links to enroll both as a volunteer or someone needing help needs to be bigger and more "in your face". Other than that i like it. Great job and great initiative.

I think should try to make the call to actions more noticable (volunteer, enter details). Since this is what you want your visitors to do. The rest I really like it, good luck!

Clear copy - I read it and understand what the service is designed for. Great idea, I think through another 1-2 years we will have to "live with Covid-19". Maybe you should consider to extend the audience or scope of assistance? "resume reviews, referrals, mock interview or mentorship" - I think I know why you are narrowing audience but isn't it too narrow? Just wondering. Anyway, good luck!

Thank you for taking the time for the feedback. Yes, curious to know what ideas do you have in mind for extending the scope or audience? The narrow audience is to test the waters and create an appeal for a specific industry.

Loved the idea. Seeing the current situation and for upcoming next few months this will be really helpful to so many people. I hope it reaches to as many people as possible, so that more and more people can benefit from it. In terms of First look of the ui i definitely loved the minimalistic design and to the point content. All the best 😅
